Job summary

The Judge Group is hiring a Weekend Night Shift Maintenance Technician in McDonough, GA to keep a high‑speed food production line running. You’ll troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, motors, and conveyors, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical/electrical maintenance and 4+ years in manufacturing, with a strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler systems, and现场 equipment. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Technical College or PLC Certification preferred.
• 5+ years of mechanical/electrical maintenance experience, including hydraulic/pneumatic work and PLC troubleshooting.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, food manufacturing/packaging preferred.
• Skilled with electrical meters, maintenance tools, and metalworking equipment.
• Experience with boiler/hot water systems is a plus.
• Proficient with computers (MS Office).
• Ability to read schematics, plans, and O&M manuals.
• Physically able to stand, bend, climb, and lift 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery: mixers, conveyors, compressors, motors, pumps.
• Repair/replace control devices: switches, sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters.
• Work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical power systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair Allen‑Bradley PLCs.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Operate metalworking equipment: welders, drill press, grinders, sheet metal tools.
• Monitor and record environmental conditions (e.g., wastewater measurements).
• Collaborate with production, refrigeration, and warehouse teams.
• Assist in developing SOPs and duty cycles for equipment maintenance.
• Participate in plant safety, SQF2000, health, and environmental programs.
• Support boiler and hot water systems maintenance.
