Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical college or PLC cert preferred.
• 5+ years of mechanical/electrical maintenance experience.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, preferably food packaging.
• Experience with boiler/hot water systems and PLC troubleshooting.
• Ability to read schematics, plans, and O&M manuals.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery: mixers, conveyors, compressors, motors, pumps
• Repair/replace control devices: switches, sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters
• Maintain oven components: burners, valves, bearings, scrapers
• Work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical power systems
• Troubleshoot and repair Allen‑Bradley PLCs
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
• Operate metalworking equipment: welders, drill press, grinders, sheet metal toolsMonitor and record environmental conditions (e.g., wastewater measurements)
• Collaborate with production, refrigeration, and warehouse teams
• Assist in developing SOPs and duty cycles for equipment maintenance
• Participate in plant safety, SQF2000, health, and environmental programs
• Support boiler and hot water systems maintenance

What You Bring

• High School Diploma/GED required (Technical College or PLC Certification preferred)
• 5+ years mechanical/electrical maintenance experience (hydraulic/pneumatic + PLC troubleshooting)
• 4+ years in manufacturing (food manufacturing/packaging strongly preferred)
• Skilled with electrical meters, maintenance tools, and metalworking equipment
• Experience with boiler/hot water systems
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to interpret schematics, plans, and O&M manuals
• Physically able to stand, bend, climb, and lift 50 lbs regularly
