Job summary

Pinch A Penny, a POOLCORP Company, seeks a Production Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair equipment across production lines. You will install, set up, and service machinery to ensure continuous operation and meet daily targets.

We require at least 5 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude. Expect to work flexible shifts in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment with extensive on-the-job training.

Location: Pinch A Penny Suncoast Chemicals Plant - 15400 62nd St N., Clearwater, FL 33760

Work Hours: Friday - Sunday 5:00AM - 5:00PM

Pay: $30 - $35 / hour

What to Expect?
  • This position reports to Maintenance Manager/ Supervisor and is responsible for all maintenance, repair and modifications needed to maintain company’s equipment and support systems in the process of raw and finished goods.
  • Set up of equipment and working with the production departments to ensure production and efficiencies are met daily.
  • Mechanic is responsible to ensure equipment runs properly on any lines.
  • Responsible for the training, repair, removal and installation of machines and equipment, as needed by production.
  • On a daily basis our Production Maintenance Mechanic: Installs, set ups, and maintains production equipment to support efficient operations (from basic setup to advanced troubleshooting, depending on experience).
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical issues on production lines and support equipment.
  • Operates and maintains power and hand tools safely for repair and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Tests and replaces electrical components such as fuses, cords, and plugs, using meters and probes.
  • Reads and interprets measurements, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to perform setups, repairs, or upgrades.
  • Collaborates with peers and support teams to resolve production issues and keep lines running smoothly.
  • Assists with equipment upgrades, modifications, and part fabrication (advanced roles), including basic welding and wiring of circuits up to 480V.
  • Leads, trains, and directs junior technicians (advanced roles) to ensure task completion and knowledge sharing.
  • Works safely with chemicals and wear appropriate PPE such as respirators, when required.
  • Supports continuous improvement by maintaining detailed records and participating in ongoing training.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
  • At least 5 years of experience in production maintenance or similar.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to learn new systems and tools - advanced knowledge preferred for senior roles.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to teamwork.
  • Leadership and project management skills preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
  • Position requires the ability to wear a respirator and comply with the company's Respiratory Protection Program.
