Job summary

Pinch A Penny, a POOLCORP Company, is seeking a Facilities Technician in Clearwater, FL. You will maintain and repair building systems, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to service requests to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will coordinate with vendors, document work orders, and ensure compliance with safety standards. A HS diploma with technical training and valid FL driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or trade school training preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and maintenance software preferred.
• Clean background and Florida Driver’s License required.
• 2+ years of facility/building maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
• Support daily facility operations by performing preventive maintenance and responding to service requests.
• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed and maintain logs and inventories.

What to Expect?

• The Facilities Technician reports to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• This role supports daily facility operations by performing preventive maintenance, responding to service requests, and assisting with general building upkeep.
• Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical issues.
• Responds promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
• Maintains and repairs doors, locks, flooring, ceilings, walls, and office furniture.
• Monitors facility systems for proper operation and report deficiencies.
• Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
• Maintains maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards.
• Assists with office moves, event setup, and workspace modifications.
• Operates maintenance tools, equipment, and vehicles safely.
• Supports cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage rooms.
• Participates in after-hours or on-call maintenance coverage when required.

What You Will Need

• High School Diploma/ GED or Equivalent.
• Technical certification or trade school training are preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and maintenance software preferred.
• Clean background and Florida Driver’s License.
• 2+ years of facility maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and work orders.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills
