Job summary

Lillibridge Healthcare Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician Trainee to support the upkeep of twelve properties across the Chicagoland area. You will assist with work orders, routine improvements, and safety processes under the guidance of the onsite engineering team.

Based in Downers Grove, IL, this growth-oriented role offers hands-on training, exposure to building systems, and the opportunity to develop technical skills while ensuring tenant and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be located in Downers Grove, IL area and/or willing to travel by vehicle to multiple locations throughout Chicagoland.
• Must be in office (onsite) 5 days a week.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and perform extensive walking.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing work orders related to maintenance and repairs.
• Support routine physical improvements to the property.
• Respond to emergencies per departmental protocols.
• Assist team in maintaining equipment, tools, supplies, and logs.
• Communicate building status and changes to appropriate individuals.
• Adhere to safety standards, policies, and procedures.
