Standard Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. Schedule and perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on conveyor equipment.
2. Schedule and perform PMs on Fire Suppression System.
3. Schedule and perform routine inspections on equipment and refer needed repairs to supervisors.
4. Provide Level 1 emergency and backup maintenance for sorter and conveyors.
5. Perform routine welding on internal equipment and tables as needed.
6. Lead maintenance technicians with Level 2 and Level 3 repairs as needed.
7. Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
8. Obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts, and complete order requisitions.
9. Order and maintain inventory levels necessary for building, conveyor, and equipment repair.
10. Repair electrical equipment and control circuits; replace faulty electrical switches; repair refrigeration equipment.
11. Respond to on-call emergency maintenance requests.
12. Perform outside custodial duties such as snow removal.
13. Follow safety procedures and policies.
14. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists for building equipment, and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
15. Identify, document, and communicate maintenance needs on all assigned shifts to team leaders and/or managers.
16. Evaluate and sign out various equipment prior to use.
17. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office and maintenance shop.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience or training in maintenance or warehousing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of hands-on machine maintenance experience in conveyors, electrical, motor controls, mechanical, plumbing, mechanical assemblies, and hydraulics troubleshooting and repair.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and crouch; use hands to handle or feel, and reach; talk and hear.
