Mercy Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Falgrove on-site in Omaha, NE. You will complete work orders, perform repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical), and ensure cleanliness and a hazard-free environment while maintaining high customer service standards.

Pay ranges from $22 to $24 per hour, depending on experience, with benefits including PTO, healthcare options, 403b with match, parental leave, life insurance, and more. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic building maintenance required through training or experience.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders promptly and clean up after completion.
• Perform repairs on the property including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical.
• Clean apartments during turnover and assist with other duties as assigned.

The successful Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers. As part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and a hazard-free environment.

This is an on-site position.

Pay: $22-24/hour, depending on experience.

• Early close Fridays (3 paid hours each Friday)
• Early close prior to a holiday (3 paid hours)

What You'll Do

Duties

• Complete work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Cleans up after work is complete.
• Performs repairs on the property, including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical.
• Cleans apartments during turnover process, as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic building maintenance required either through training or experience.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year in skilled maintenance work.
• Technical training in one or more building trades preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

• Take direction from the supervisor.
• Read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions.
• Flexible to change work plans.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance.
