Job summary

SHELTER, Inc. in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Permanent Supportive Housing Program, covering four sites—3 in the North and 1 in the South.

You will perform building repairs, inspect for safety hazards, and maintain common areas while ensuring compliance with REAC and HUD standards. You must have a construction background, be able to transport materials using a pickup truck, and regularly travel between sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of building maintenance experience (repairs, carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
• Knowledge of habitability issues and basic REAC/HUD standards is desirable.
• Valid California driver license and ability to drive between sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property to meet REAC/HUD standards.
• Perform minor repairs to appliances and fixtures; plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and coordinate with vendors/contractors.
