Job summary

UDR, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician for the 264-home Towson property at 20 Lambourne, MD. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and general upkeep to keep homes and common areas in top condition.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to participate in on-call rotations. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered after 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in building and mechanical maintenance.
• HVAC and carpentry knowledge is a plus.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and rotating on-call responsibility required.
• Pool operation certification (CPO) may be required at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident requests for maintenance and service by repairing and restoring service within quality and time standards.
• Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the community including grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Report deficiencies and safety issues immediately.
• Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy through electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and other maintenance tasks.
• Keep tools, equipment, and workspace organized and stock inventory as needed.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
