Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician at Towson Promenade in Towson, MD (379 homes). The role involves performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repairs to ensure apartments are ready for occupancy.

Responsibilities include responding to resident maintenance requests, maintaining grounds and common areas, organizing tools/inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service. On-call rotation applies; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Two years of building and mechanical maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting and drywall.
• HVAC knowledge and carpentry experience are a plus.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and rotating on-call responsibility required.
• Some locations may require CPO pool operation certification.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident maintenance requests and repair within the organization's quality and time standards.
• Maintain community appearance; report safety issues immediately.
• Prepare apartments for occupancy with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair and cleaning.
• Maintain tools and workspace; organize and stock inventory.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
