Job summary

Housing Assistance Corporation in Hyannis, MA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance at HAC units across the Cape and at office locations.

You will handle plumbing and electrical tasks, door locks, wall repairs, painting, light custodial work, and furniture assembly, with on-call duties during nights and weekends. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work independently in a diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently and independently.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional on-site electrical/plumbing tasks.
• General understanding of electric, plumbing & construction.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (mileage reimbursed) with personal tools.
• Comfortable on a ladder and in diverse facilities; able to operate computers.
• On-call nights and weekends for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance at HAC units across the Cape and at office locations.
• Handle minor plumbing repairs (clogs, leaks) and minor electrical tasks.
• Change locks, patch walls, and paint as required.
• Light custodial work and assemble furniture at shelter facilities.
• Assist with general construction tasks and light snow shoveling.
