The technician will be involved in proactive maintenance programs and will need to handle on-call requests promptly.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property's general condition in terms of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting. The technician must complete maintenance request work orders promptly and participate in the preventive maintenance program for all building equipment and rooms. The position is eligible for a $500 sign‑on bonus.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain general maintenance of the exterior and interior of the property building
• Complete work orders promptly, including on‑call requests
• Demonstrate the ability to resolve maintenance issues to prevent recurrence
• Maintain inventory to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available on‑site
• Inspect and test machinery and maintenance equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; report unsafe conditions to the supervisor and recommend corrective action
• Partner with external vendors, contractors, and other maintenance team members on special projects
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• HVAC certification preferred
• Residential/apartment maintenance experience preferred
• General residential maintenance skills required: A/C, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, electronics, drywall installation, and finishing
• Must be able to report to all on‑call maintenance shifts as needed
• Must be able to work independently

Physical Requirements

• Requires manual dexterity with normal hand/finger movement and coordination
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds at variable distances often
• Position involves climbing ladders at high levels for maintenance and exterior A/C repairs
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into confined, limited spaces
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, position, or move heavy objects
• Ability to walk for long periods, including climbing flights of stairs in various weather conditions
