Job summary

Aegis Living Ballard is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in routine upkeep for our assisted living community in Seattle. You will help with repairs and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and prepare rooms for new residents.

Ideal candidates will communicate clearly with residents and staff, maintain confidentiality, and comply with applicable regulations. A TB test is required as part of the onboarding process, and the team offers growth

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of facilities and operations systems management in an assisted living and dementia care community.
• Skilled at building relationships with residents and staff members.
• Ability to maintain resident confidentiality.
• Knowledge and/or ability to learn federal, state, and local regulations.
• Must be willing to take 2-step TB test.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and do preventative maintenance on mechanicals.
• Prepare rooms for new residents.
• Communicate effectively with residents, other staff, and Maintenance Director on updates or issues that need to be addressed.
