Job summary

Willow Creek Senior Community is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to keep our community safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. If you notice a squeaky door and take pride in fixes, you’ll fit well with a compassionate team just minutes from Seattle in a welcoming Bellevue-area community.

Responsibilities include maintaining electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems, handling repairs, safety checks, and coordinating licensed providers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No professional license required.
• 1+ year of maintenance experience or related trades preferred.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep interior fixtures in top shape — walls, woodwork, handrails, nurse call systems, lighting, and furniture
• Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems per code and manufacturer guidelines
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate licensed service providers when needed
• Respond quickly to emergency repair requests and stay on top of the maintenance log
• Run routine safety checks — fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, generators, smoke detectors, and more
• Handle general repairs: windows, screens, grab bars, door hardware, furniture, and wheelchairs
• Maintain the building exterior, grounds, roof, and gutters
• Keep the workshop and mechanical room clean, organized, and hazard‑free
• Support the preventive maintenance schedule for kitchen, laundry, and resident‑care equipment
• Help maintain MSDS records and follow infection control and safety protocols
• Pitch in on fire drills, disaster drills, and Quality Assurance initiatives
