Job summary

Avamere Living in Burien, WA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the physical plant, perform routine maintenance, and keep the environment safe and clean for residents and staff.

The role supports a Maintenance Lead/Director, with a schedule of Wednesday through Sunday and a wage range of $28–$32 per hour. This full-time position requires building maintenance experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining a building such as a long-term care, apartment complex or business facility.
• Basic knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, minor repairs, and ensuring the facility is in good working order.
• Conduct routine safety checks, report hazards, and assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitation duties and maintaining a clean environment.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for larger repairs and maintenance projects.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
• Ensure adherence to building codes, OSHA, EPA, and fire safety codes.
