Midtown Assisted Living Residence in Hollywood, Florida, seeks a reliable Maintenance professional to join our team. You will maintain both exterior and interior spaces, perform routine repairs, and ensure a safe environment for residents.

A hands-on approach to troubleshooting and a commitment to service are essential. The role involves landscaping, equipment upkeep, and adherence to safety standards while supporting daily operations in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with commercial maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing, electrical systems, alarm systems, appliances, commercial stoves, refrigerators, air-conditioning and heating units.
• General construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must display professionalism, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.
• Must genuinely care for and understand the elderly and other persons with various disabilities.
• Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with other personnel and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, and planting
• Maintain lawn care equipment and perform routine checks
• Repair and maintain exterior and interior door locks
• Clean and maintain windows, screens, and exterior surfaces
• Replace burned-out light bulbs and clean air filters
• Service heating and cooling units according to manufacturer guidelines and facility policies
• Assist with fire drills, life safety code assignments, and safety audits
• Perform minor equipment repair, carpentry duties, and operate hand tools
• Other duties as assigned to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the facility
