Bellevue Post-Acute is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to help keep our community safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. You will handle interior/exterior maintenance, safety checks, and routine repairs in a welcoming Bellevue setting.

The role requires 1+ year in maintenance or related fields, with preference for a high school diploma or equivalent and a proactive, detail-oriented, team-first attitude. Join a supportive team just minutes from Seattle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in maintenance, carpentry/construction, plumbing/electrical, or appliance repair preferred.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a team-first attitude

Responsibilities

• Keep interior fixtures in top shape: walls, woodwork, handrails, nurse call systems, lighting, and furniture.
• Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems per code and manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate licensed service providers when needed.
• Respond quickly to emergency repair requests and maintain the maintenance log.
• Run routine safety checks: fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, generators, smoke detectors, etc.
• Handle general repairs: windows, screens, grab bars, door hardware, furniture, and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the building exterior, grounds, roof, and gutters.
• Keep workshop and mechanical room clean and hazard-free.
• Support preventive maintenance for kitchen, laundry, and resident-care equipment.
• Help maintain MSDS records and follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Pitch in on fire drills, disaster drills, and QA initiatives
