Job summary

Willow Creek Senior Community is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to help keep a community safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. If you notice issues quickly and take pride in fixing them right, you’ll fit well with a compassionate, respectful team near Seattle.

Responsibilities include maintenance of interiors and exteriors, coordinating licensed services, and supporting safety drills and QA initiatives. A high school diploma and 1+ year of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience in general maintenance, carpentry/construction, plumbing/electrical, or appliance repair preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Keep interior fixtures in top shape — walls, woodwork, handrails, nurse call systems, lighting, and furniture.
  • Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems per code and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate licensed service providers when needed.
  • Respond quickly to emergency repair requests and stay on top of the maintenance log.
  • Run routine safety checks — fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, generators, smoke detectors, and more.
  • Support the preventive maintenance schedule for kitchen, laundry, and resident-care equipment.

Willow Creek Senior Community is looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Assistant to help keep our community safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. What You'll Do
  • Keep interior fixtures in top shape — walls, woodwork, handrails, nurse call systems, lighting, and furniture
  • Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems per code and manufacturer guidelines
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate licensed service providers when needed
  • Respond quickly to emergency repair requests and stay on top of the maintenance log
  • Run routine safety checks — fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, generators, smoke detectors, and more
  • Handle general repairs: windows, screens, grab bars, door hardware, furniture, and wheelchairs
  • Maintain the building exterior, grounds, roof, and gutters
  • Keep the workshop and mechanical room clean, organized, and hazard‑free
  • Support the preventive maintenance schedule for kitchen, laundry, and resident‑care equipment
  • Help maintain MSDS records and follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Pitch in on fire drills, disaster drills, and Quality Assurance initiatives

What You’ll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • No professional license required
  • 1+ year of experience in general maintenance, carpentry/construction, plumbing/electrical, or appliance repair preferred
