Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Memphis, TN is seeking a Maintenance Team Member for our Assisted Living community. This part-time role keeps buildings and grounds safe, functional, and well maintained, supporting resident comfort and safety.

You'll perform routine maintenance, preventive upkeep, and grounds care, working with leadership, following safety policies, and using hand and power tools to meet daily needs and emergency repairs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, equipment operation, and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and follow maintenance schedules and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Perform routine and minor maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, wiring, and general repairs.
• Maintain furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and water systems to ensure resident comfort.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and complete monthly maintenance checklists.
• Assist with disaster preparedness, including fire drills and emergency readiness activities.
• Notify management of major repair needs involving lighting, HVAC, plumbing, or building systems.
• Remove snow, ice, debris, and hazards from sidewalks and grounds.
• Oversee landscaping services and assist with lawn care, trimming shrubs, and flower maintenance as needed.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately.
