Job summary
Mesa Public Schools is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, installations and routine maintenance across district facilities. The role supports journeymen, rotates through shop locations, and requires reliable attendance.
A high school diploma and a valid Arizona driver’s license are required, with additional preference for maintenance experience. New hires may earn annual performance pay and educational boosts based on tenure and education.
Qualifications
- Maintenance experience preferred and required to operate across district facilities.
- Must be able to perform tasks not requiring journeyman-level skills.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliable attendance.
Responsibilities
- Travel within the district to assist journeymen with assigned tasks.
- Perform maintenance, repairs and installations on equipment not requiring journeyman skills.
- Rotate between operations shops as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
- Maintain regular attendance and support other duties as assigned.
