Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a maintenance technician who places safety at the forefront and works with manufacturing teams to keep equipment in safe, running condition.

You will perform PM tasks on schedule, handle maintenance work orders, and collaborate with engineering, sales, and other departments to improve equipment and processes. A strong attendance record and 3–5 years in a technical setting are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer proficiency to manage tasks in Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent attendance and safety record.
• 3–5 years' experience in a manufacturing/technical environment.
• Ability to obtain hoist and forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Insist on safety as job 1 and ensure safe operation of all equipment.
• Verify machines are safe before releasing back to manufacturing area.
• Complete scheduled PM tasks by assigned date and track progress.
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders related to technician field.
• Assist other maintenance techs; emphasize teamwork and safety.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas and shop.
• Communicate tasks and part issues in a timely manner.
• Engage with Engineering, Sales, Transportation, HR, Procurement and others.
• Collaborate with Supervisors to improve equipment and processes.
• Use and handle Solomon Corp tools and equipment properly.
