Job summary

Solomon Colors, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems, diagnose issues, and perform repairs. The role supports production operations, executes PMs, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work with limited supervision and serve as a technical resource for less experienced technicians. The position requires hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as reading

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices and equipment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, and automated equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues involving motors, drives, sensors, and basic PLC-controlled systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore operations safely and efficiently.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Replace defective components and ensure equipment is returned to proper operating condition.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in the CMMS or maintenance logs.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
• Provide guidance and support to Maintenance Technician I personnel as needed.
