Job Responsibilities
- Prepare or assist in preparing maintenance of office facilities (painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping, etc.).
- Perform hands‑on maintenance of properties, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of offices and other interior/exterior areas.
- Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance functions and record findings in a maintenance log.
- Provide on‑call emergency service as required.
- Work with general maintenance staff to maintain grounds and keep them free of trash and debris.
- Monitor and keep up all mechanical equipment in the community, including but not limited to water heaters and HVAC units.
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Replace faulty electrical components of machines, such as relays, switches, and motors, and place sensing devices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of hands‑on apartment maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to lift and work with heavy equipment.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance required.
- EPA or CFC certification.
