Job summary

TRG Management is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our apartment communities. You will maintain appearance, safety, and functionality, handle maintenance requests, and support residents with courteous service.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in apartment maintenance, a high school diploma, and EPA Type II or Universal certification; HVAC certification is a plus. You should be capable of working on-call rotations and solving problems efficiently.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • EPA Universal or Type II Certification preferred (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
  • HVAC certification is a plus; reading and interpreting work orders and manuals is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including painting, drywall repair, appliance installation, and general repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, doors, locks, and lighting fixtures.
  • Maintain the property’s common areas, amenities, grounds, and building exteriors.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls, including participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Assist with vendor coordination and special projects as assigned.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by communicating professionally with residents and team members.

Job Description:

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • EPA Universal or Type II Certification preferred (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
  • HVAC certification is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and maintenance manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies as part of the on-call schedule.
