Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician RMX to maintain and service production equipment, perform inspections, and support preventative maintenance programs. You will diagnose and repair diverse machinery, ensure safety compliance, and contribute to production reliability.

This role requires hands-on mechanical skills, familiarity with welding and fabrication, and the ability to follow strict safety protocols in a heavy industry environment.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience in general plant maintenance and mechanical repair.
• Experience with maintaining heavy industry equipment and performing installations/repairs is required.
• Basic computer skills to manage paperwork and reports are needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment following manufacturer and company procedures.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment, systems and machinery.
• Inspect equipment condition and operation and report findings to supervisor; address breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain inventory of commonly required parts and support parts restocking.
• Complete required safety paperwork and adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies.

Maintenance Technician RMX

About The Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment in a state of readiness. Preforms the appropriate production equipment inspections and preventative maintenance. Prepares all required daily/weekly department operating reports. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment, systems and machinery.

What You'll Accomplish

• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on plan equipment by following the manufacture's recommended service intervals and company procedures.
• Maintains an inventory of regularly required replacement parts.
• Inspects condition and operation of plant equipment and performs necessary repairs and adjustments. Reports required repairs or other findings to Supervisor.
• Performs required emergency repairs on production equipment required to address plant breakdowns.
• Adheres to all safety, environmental and company policies and procedures in completing daily tasks, and completes all required paperwork in a timely fashion.

What We're Looikng For

• Education: High School diploma/equivalent required
• Experience: 2+ years' experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must have a working knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude, general plant maintenance experience - change screens, welding, cutting torch, wrenching (hand tools)
• Operating a skid-steer, man-lift a plus.
• Stick welding, arc welding, and lite fabrication a plus
• Must have basic computer skills
