Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support multiple project footprints across the territory. You will perform mechanical repairs, electrical diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on portable plant structures, ensuring safety and efficiency in dynamic field environments.

The role requires a high school diploma, technical training, and 3–4 years of plant maintenance experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of technical training in a school or program.
  • 3–4 years of experience in mechanical repair and plant maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Move across project footprints to support PM cycles and breakdowns.
  • Repair machinery components on central wet drums and dry transit setups.
  • Perform field maintenance with strict safety adherence.
  • Follow LOTO protocols and use PPE.
  • Ensure gates and conveyor paths prevent contamination and drift.
  • Extend asset life via greasing, gear-drive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Complete daily inspection checklists and work orders.
  • Report to the regional Maintenance Manager and collaborate with site leadership.

Maintenance Technician

Amrize a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, is seeking a Maintenance Technician who deploys across multiple project footprints within the geographic area to execute mechanical repairs, electrical diagnostics, and structural preventative maintenance routines for portable mix plant structures.

What You'll Accomplish
  • Support high regional mobility by moving across all active temporary plant deployments within the territory to support routine PM cycles and clear emergency breakdown alerts.
  • Maintain and repair machinery components for both central wet drums (tilt systems, drum liners) and dry transit setups (weigh hoppers, pneumatics, air compressors, screw conveyors).
  • Execute field maintenance under strict safety adherence.
  • Follow detailed multi‑point LOTO protocols, work safely in confined spaces, and utilize mandatory fall protection and rigging gear.
  • Ensure plant aggregate gates close seamlessly without bleeding and conveyor belt paths track true, directly preventing raw material cross‑contamination and batching tolerance drift.
  • Extend asset operating lifecycles through meticulous greasing schedules, gear‑drive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and minimizing costly replacement part spending.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional layout presence when executing visible mechanical repairs on‑site.
  • Accurately complete and sign off on daily equipment inspection checklists, parts consumption registries, and technical work orders for submission to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Report directly to the regional Maintenance Manager while collaborating with the site Batch Plant Superintendent.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of specialized training in a technical school, apprenticeship, or manufacturer’s training program.
  • 3–4 years of experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in a plant or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and the use of all shop equipment such as welding and machining equipment.
Additional Requirements
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
