Job summary

Onni Group seeks a Maintenance Technician to support residents in Downtown Los Angeles. You will schedule preventive maintenance, perform apartment turns, and diagnose HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance issues.

Customer service and timely work orders are essential to ensure a quality living experience. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a craft apprenticeship; an associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with craft Apprenticeship or equivalent
• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus
• Four+ years in manufacturing with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills; PLC and HVAC experience; vacuum furnace preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedule, monitor, and/or perform preventative maintenance and apartment turns.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural, and appliances.
• Respond to work orders promptly and professionally.
• Ensure timely and efficient turnover of units and verify work completion.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and promote quality living Experience.
• Provide on-call pager service and emergency maintenance when scheduled.
• Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist supervisor with vendor scheduling and communication.
• Assist with obtaining bids and oversee contractor work.
• Assist with purchasing maintenance supplies within budget.
• Prepare and submit property invoices per guidelines.
• Communicate maintenance status to supervisor.
• Participate in training on fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, harassment prevention.
