Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and implement preventive maintenance to promote comfort and safety for residents and staff. You will communicate with the Maintenance Director regarding the condition of buildings and equipment, and carry out general maintenance tasks as needed.

The role requires familiarity with chemicals handling, safety procedures, and the ability to learn new skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks (electrical, painting, carpentry).
• Understanding of proper handling of chemicals and waste.
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures for chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, minor and major, as part of maintenance duties.
• Implements regular and preventive maintenance programs.
• Communicates with Maintenance Director about building/equipment condition.
• Maintains a clean laundry area and stores chemicals per instructions.
• Works within the work-order system to track tasks.
• Performs general maintenance tasks (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.).
