Job summary

Traditions Prepared Meals is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Sacramento, CA. The role ensures production line and cooking equipment run smoothly, maintains refrigeration and A/C systems, and performs repairs and preventive maintenance.

You will document work, update equipment lists, and operate in a freezer/cold environment with the ability to lift 50 lbs. This position requires training in Refrigeration, Electrical, and General Maintenance and at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Training and experience in Refrigeration, Electrical, and General Maintenance.
• Two years’ experience in Refrigeration, Electrical, and General Maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to work in freezer and cold environment for extended periods.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Computer knowledge and skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing of the production line, and cooking equipment.
• Assisting in maintaining refrigeration and A/C equipment, when necessary.
• Attending all safety training classes. Assist in equipment use training.
• May be asked to perform non-maintenance-related tasks throughout the facility.
• General repairs and maintenance, to keep the facility in a clean safe condition.
• Performing and documenting preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Update and maintain equipment list and repairs.
• Sanitizing air conditioning unit.
• Responsible for removing the buildup of ice on the freezer floors as needed.
