Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a maintenance technician for our Augusta, ME facility. This on-site role reports to the Facilities Manager and performs maintenance, service and repair across refrigeration, HVAC, dock doors, loading plates and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities include assisting with construction, plumbing, electrical and painting projects, maintaining a safe work environment, and responding to off-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–12 months maintenance experience.
• Mechanically inclined to fix dock plates, garage doors, pallet jacks and operate industrial tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math.
• Computer skills to work with POs, work orders, read blueprints and process flows.
• Must be able to use ladders, powered lifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, service and repair to refrigeration system, HVAC, Dock Doors, Loading Plates and Material Handling Equipment.
• Assist with general construction, plumbing, electrical and painting projects.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Proficient with computers; read blueprints and basic math.
• Respond to off hours emergencies when necessary.
• Maintain warehouse racking.
• Other duties as assigned.
