Job summary

Norton Creek and The Timber at Holly Branch is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Handyman to join the maintenance team and help keep buildings and grounds clean, safe, and functional at the Gatlinburg, TN property. The role involves completing a wide range of general maintenance tasks and supporting small renovation projects.

The candidate should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work weekends/holidays, and have a high school diploma with basic tool knowledge.

Qualifications

• Basic handyman experience or a willingness to learn on the job.
• Ability to identify when a problem is beyond entry-level scope and escalate.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate company vehicles.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Rotating on-call schedule; on-call pay.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have own general hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks (e.g., replace bulbs, switches, outlets).
• Reset tripped breakers and report electrical issues to lead technician.
• Replace HVAC and water filters on a scheduled basis.
• Assist with basic plumbing tasks (unclog drains, replace aerator).
• Patch and repair drywall and perform interior painting.
• Read and interpret work orders and assist with small renovations.
• Ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
• Provide friendly, professional service in public areas.
