Job summary

BR Management in Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our multifamily portfolio with hands-on maintenance tasks and exceptional service. You will handle scheduled preventive maintenance, respond to work orders, and ensure apartments are ready within five business days of vacancy.

Your role includes troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems and appliances, participating in after-hours on-call rotation, and adhering to Fair Housing laws and all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in maintenance or equivalent field.
• EPA certification.
• Own basic tools to perform building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license preferred; reliable transportation.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Willing to work on an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance; update related records.
• Provide excellent customer service for maintenance requests; ensure timely resolution.
• Complete maintenance work orders for drywall, plumbing, electrical, carpentry.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation; respond to emergencies and disasters.
• Complete all work orders within the timeframe; ready apartments within five business days of vacancy.
• Troubleshoot, repair HVAC equipment (furnaces and condensers).
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances (stove, refrigerator).
• Comply with local, state and federal laws including Fair Housing.
