Job summary

Vista Verde in Breckenridge, CO is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our 252-unit affordable and workforce housing community in excellent condition. You will perform repairs and respond to service requests across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances, ensuring residents have a safe, comfortable home.

You will also handle exterior maintenance, seasonal prep, routine property walks, and make-ready tasks for new residents, while coordinating with vendors and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of previous experience in property management maintenance, building maintenance, or related trade.
• HVAC-EPA (Type II), or EPA Universal preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements.
• Ability to participate in the on-call emergency rotation schedule.
• Strong customer service skills with a resident-first mindset.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Maintain exterior of the property along with tackling seasonal prep such as fall cleanup or snow removal.
• Perform daily property walks to keep everything clean, safe, and looking sharp.
• Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests when assigned.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists.
• Inspect buildings and grounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
• Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and grounds.
• Communicate with vendors and contractors.
