Job summary

Century Sun Metal Treating seeks a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain machinery and equipment, prioritizing safety and uptime. You will troubleshoot, disassemble, and replace defective parts, and operate shop equipment such as lathes and welders.

Flexible with preventive maintenance and documentation. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with eligibility for profit sharing in the first year.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college, technical school, or one year related experience with high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, electrical diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Must have mechanical aptitude with basic concepts of mechanical/electric design and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment with safety as a priority.
• Troubleshoots mechanical devices, disassembles, replaces defective parts and repairs as needed.
• Sets up and operates shop machinery (lathe, drill press, grinders, band saws, welders).
• Installs or modifies equipment to improve uptime and reliability.
• Maintains an accurate inventory of parts and updates documentation.
