Century Sun Metal Treating is seeking a Heat Treat Technician for 2nd and 3rd shifts in Michigan. The role offers an hourly wage from $19.80 to $22, plus profit sharing in the first year and full-time hours on-site. You will operate heat treat furnaces, inspect hardness, and help maintain equipment to meet customer specs.

No prior experience is required as in-house training is provided; opportunity to cross-train and grow within the plant. Excellent safety practices and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; in-house training provided.
• Able to multitask and monitor multiple furnaces.
• General ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to add and subtract time for process start/end.
• Capable of solving practical problems and following written and spoken instructions.
• Able to communicate with internal and external customers one-on-one or in small groups.
• Overtime may be required based on workload.

Responsabilités

• Operate heat treat furnaces and equipment to meet product specs.
• Build furnace loads for heat treat operations.
• Operate gas/electric/salt furnaces to meet requirements.
• Perform hardness inspections on customer parts.
• Maintain equipment per preventative maintenance schedule.
• Keep facility clean and organized.
• Operate forklift to move loads.
• Cross-train in other departments.
• Attend onsite education on heat treating and metallurgy.
