Job summary

Century Sun Metal Treating is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Michigan to repair and maintain machinery and production equipment. This full-time role prioritizes safety and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime, with duties including troubleshooting, tool setup, and equipment installation.

You will document maintenance records, read schematics, and operate shop machinery. Forklift/elevated platform certification is preferred; training is offered if needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient problem solving and root cause analysis with proactive approach.
• Able to read and interpret machine schematics, blueprints and manuals.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to operate in a maintenance team.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Familiar with ERP systems, Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance records.
• Forklift and elevated work platform certifications preferred; training offered.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment with safety as a priority.
• Minimizes downtime by proactive maintenance and timely project execution.
• Troubleshoots mechanical devices; replaces defective parts and performs repairs.
• Sets up and uses shop machinery (lathe, drill press, grinders, etc.).
• Installs new or repaired equipment and improves reliability and uptime.
• Maintains parts inventory and documents maintenance records.
• Operates forklift and elevated work platform as needed.
• Follows safety, health, and environmental guidelines; participates in emergencies as required.
