Job summary
State Heat Treating Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical systems, and building structures. You will diagnose problems, perform preventive maintenance, and train others as needed.
The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree or related experience, and can operate a forklift and welding equipment. Shift is 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with comprehensive benefits after 90 days.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or any combination of education and experience equal to twelve months.
Responsibilities
- Observes equipment for unusual sounds and/or visual indications to diagnose problems or repair machine.
- Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, motors, starters, wiring, and electrical/electronic components.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of building.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Starts equipment after service to test for proper operation.
- Diagnoses causes of breakdown and suggests modifications to improve operation.
