Job summary

Silgan Containers in Seymour, Indiana is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to support our state-of-the-art manufacturing lines. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and help sustain a safe, efficient production environment.

Responsibilities include following written procedures, inspecting work areas for hazards, coordinating with team members, and completing tasks safely and on schedule.

• Complete projects/assignments safely and efficiently.
• Evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
• Effectively use verbal and written communications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Ability to follow schedules and work independently or as part of a team
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment issues
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, and sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
