Job summary

Arbor Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Post Ridge Apartments. The position is 15 hours per week, split between two days, and requires on-site work with on-call hours.

Responsibilities include repairs, preventative maintenance, unit turnovers, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and system inspections. A high school diploma is required and the candidate must be able to lift heavy equipment and pass a competency test.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; maintenance/ construction experience preferred.
• Must have basic mechanical skills and ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, painting; electrical and plumbing proficiency required.
• On-call hours and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to building systems and appearances.
• Unit turnover, painting, carpentry, plumbing, major appliance repair, electrical issues as needed.
• Inspect security, alarm & fire systems; document performance/quality; timely work orders.

Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance. This individual maintains and improves operating condition, quality, and integrity of all building systems and building appearances throughout the site. Detailed activities include: unit turnover; painting as needed, carpentry, plumbing, major appliance repair, electrical issues, etc. On-call hours required. Assists in training janitorial or new personnel, Conducts maintenance inspections, including security, alarm & fire systems. Perform work-orders timely, Inspect subcontractor work, documenting performance/quality. Snow and Ice removal, Inspect grounds and common areas for cleanliness, lawn-care, sidewalk or parking lot issues to report to the manager. Technicians are Essential Personnel required to report to work for snow removal and community emergencies. This position is 15 hours a week, that will be split between two days.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent, Prior maintenance and/or construction experience required; Must have Basic mechanical skills; and ability to work independently. Ability to lift heavy equipment such as snow blowers, lawn mowers, and carpet cleaning machinery needed. Ability to walk/stand for full shift, climb ladders, and perform other physically demanding tasks is required. Must pass Competency Maintenance Test. Requires knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, HVAC, carpentry, painting. Electrical troubleshooting & Plumbing proficiency is also required.
