Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Flatz 480 facility in San Tan Valley, AZ. You will support machinery and equipment in an industrial setting, applying electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain production efficiency.

The role requires strong problem-solving, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to a safe work environment. Certification for crane and forklift operation is required; welding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
• Must become certified for in-house crane and forklift operation.
• Welding experience is preferred; prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of machinery through diagrams, manuals, and specs.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote safe work practices per regulations and policy.
• Inspect and maintain engines, motors, tools, conveyors, and machines using typical shop equipment.
• Troubleshoot plant electrical systems, PLCs, motors, drives, and relays.
• Adjust devices with hand tools and alignment instruments.
• Fabricate repair parts using shop instrumentation.
• Manage inventory of equipment parts and supplies; anticipate needs.
• Attend workshops and review technical publications to refresh knowledge.
• Communicate with supervisors to support efficient operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned; maintain regular onsite attendance.
