Job summary

Z-Modular - Flatz 480 in San Tan Valley, AZ is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support machinery and production equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure a safe, efficient work environment.

The role requires a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, willingness to stand long shifts, and certification in crane and forklift operation. Welding experience is a plus in a manufacturing context.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; Technical or Trade School in related field preferred.
Must become certified for in-house crane, fork truck operation, and other lift/mobile equipment.
Some welding experience preferred; prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of machinery functionality through diagrams, sketches, manuals, and specifications.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Ability to stand for 10–12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
Inspect and maintain engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines using hoists, cranes, hand, and power tools to fulfill preventive maintenance requirements.
Apply troubleshooting techniques to plant electrical systems and Programmable Logic Controllers, motors, drives, and relays.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating needed items.
Attend educational workshops, review technical publications, and establish personal networks to maintain technical knowledge.
Communicate with supervisors to build positive working relationships and ensure efficient operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per scheduled shift assignment.
