Job summary
Aurora Organic Dairy is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee preventive maintenance of all plant equipment and repairs. The role requires knowledge of PLCs, Rockwell systems, HVAC controls, and electrical/mechanical systems, and involves working with high-speed packaging equipment at our dairy facility.
The position emphasizes safety, GMP/SQF compliance, and collaboration with the maintenance team to ensure uptime, quality, and efficient operation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; two-year associate or technical degree preferred.
- Experience with high-speed packaging equipment.
- Education and/or experience supporting industrial networking.
- Education and/or experience with Rockwell Automation, PLCs and VFDs.
- Education and/or experience programming or altering PLCs, HMI, VFD, and RSLinx.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and report deviations from HACCP & SQF programs to supervisor.
- Inspect, diagnose and repair plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair computerized control systems, including HVAC.
- Weld, fabricate, and assemble parts for industrial equipment.
- Perform general shop and building maintenance and keep records/inventory.
- Assist teammates in equipment repairs.
