Job summary

Aurora Organic Dairy in Columbia, MO is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure proper maintenance and repair of all equipment with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance. The role requires knowledge of PLC, electrical, refrigeration systems, and process technology to support safe, efficient production.

You will work with the Shift Lead to diagnose, repair, and calibrate equipment, maintain records, and participate in safety and quality programs including HACCP and SQF.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; two-year associate or technical degree preferred.
• Experience with high-speed packaging equipment.
• Education and/or experience supporting industrial networking.
• Education and/or experience supporting Rockwell Automation, PLCs and VFDs.
• Education and/or experience programming or altering programs in PLCs, HMI, VFD, and RSLinx.
• Education and/or experience installing and calibrating industrial sensors and meters (level, temperature, pH and flow).
• Good communication skills with a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to use blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair computerized control systems, including HVAC.
• Weld, fabricate, and assemble parts for industrial equipment.
• Perform general shop and building maintenance and maintain records and inventory.
• Provide assistance to other team members in the performance of equipment repairs.
• Maintain work areas in accordance with GMP and SQF requirements.
• Work nights and weekends as needed.
