Job summary

Piston Automotive in Toledo, OH is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of general building and equipment maintenance, preventive, predictive and reactive repairs on production systems. You will troubleshoot PLC controls and vision systems, work with electrical and mechanical installations, and coordinate with the Production IT team to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires an AA degree or equivalent experience, strong safety culture, and ability to work

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or two-year college technical school, or 6+ years related experience.
• General building maintenance and repair knowledge.
• Proficient in electrical repair and machinery installation.
• Knowledge of high voltage electrical safety and arc flash requirements.
• Ability to read manuals and work orders.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• Light fabrication for production shop floor
• Repair work including painting, carpentry, plumbing
• Receive work orders and schedule own assignments
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards
• May work overtime in emergencies
• Troubleshooting PLC controls and communications
• Troubleshooting Vision Inspection Systems
• Interface with Production IT for system performance
• Install and troubleshoot electrical systems
• Assist with mechanical installations
• Other duties as assigned
