Job summary

Piston Automotive in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to provide a wide range of assembly equipment maintenance, repairs, and services for Production. You will perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance and support facilities across the production floor.

Responsibilities include wiring trace, PLC/vision system troubleshooting, and light fabrication. Strong electrical/mechanical knowledge and safety adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six+ years related experience.
• Knowledge of general building maintenance and repair.
• Proficient in electrical repair and machinery installation.
• Proficient with High Voltage Electrical Safety and Arc Flash requirements.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and plumbing.
• Ability to read manuals and work orders clearly.
• Ability to work with a team and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair assembly equipment.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance of equipment.
• Debug and troubleshoot electrical issues in assembly equipment.
• Trace wiring using electrical prints to resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic issues in regulators, valves and cylinders.
• Light fabrication for production shop floor items.
• Receive work orders and schedule assignments.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
• Interface with Production IT for system performance.
• Install and troubleshoot high/low voltage electrical systems.
