Job summary

Piston Automotive is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform a wide range of building and equipment repairs for Production. You will lead preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.

Candidates should have an AA or equivalent or 6+ years of related experience, strong electrical skills, comfort with HVAC/plumbing, and the ability to read manuals and work with PLCs and vision equipment. This is a full-time role on site.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combined with experience or training.
• Strong electrical repair and machinery installation skills.
• Familiarity with high voltage safety and arc flash requirements.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to read manuals and technical data accurately.
• Good written and verbal communication; can work with team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair production equipment and systems.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on complex equipment.
• Light fabrication for fixtures and handling items on the shop floor.
• Troubleshoot PLC controls, vision systems, and DC/AC electrical systems.
• Receive work orders, plan tasks, and prioritize assignments.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report hazards promptly.
• Collaborate with Production IT and other departments to optimize performance.
• Possibly overtime during emergencies or peak tasks.
