Job Description

Saturday-Monday 8-4:30, may be required to work after hours. Will be required to work an on-call schedule for Sat/Sun nights.

Performs and oversees routine and preventative maintenance for all Circle of Life facilities and essential operational systems located in Bentonville, Lowell, and Springdale.

Requires ability to diagnose problems, follow instructions, and use hand and power tools for repairs. Must have manual dexterity, time management skills, and basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook). Must possess a current Arkansas driver's license, auto liability insurance, and demonstrate safe vehicle operation. Good hearing, vision, color distinction, and English communication skills are required. Knowledge of safety, hazards, and infection control (OSHA) is essential. Prefer candidates with at least 5 years of related maintenance or repair experience.

Specific Duties and Requirements

• Communicate with the Director of Physical Plant Operations regarding maintenance issues and solutions.
• Maintain schedules for routine maintenance tasks.
• Inspect systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, kitchen equipment, generators, elevators, lighting, security, and machinery; maintain records.
• Perform upkeep and appearance tasks including painting, carpentry, parking lot maintenance, flooring, landscaping, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC (experience preferred). Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with transportation and setup of equipment between facilities.
• Recognize when a job exceeds skill level and requires a tradesperson.
• Interact with patients, families, staff, and the public with compassion and patience.
• Represent Circle of Life positively in the community.
• Be flexible and adaptable to additional duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work may be at various locations, indoors and outdoors, exposing to hot/cold environments, awkward conditions, ladders, and potential hazards like electrical shocks, burns, falls, cuts, and bruises. Some areas may not be wheelchair accessible. Physical demands include lifting 70-100 lbs, pushing, pulling, walking, climbing, reaching, and standing for long periods.
