Job summary

Spring Arbor University is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance across campus. 25-29 hours per week with on-call duties monthly. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and basic building systems.

You will inspect, repair, and document building conditions, assist with snow removal, and collaborate with campus staff to ensure a safe, reliable environment in a faith-based academic setting.

Qualifications

• Three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with general maintenance and various trades is preferred.
• Ability to work in a professional environment and follow campus policies.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance repairs.

Reporting Responsibilities

Serves as a member of business affairs reporting directly to the Director of Physical Plant. Other duties as assigned by proper personnel.

The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
