Job summary

Barkan Management Company is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to support the property’s physical plant across preventive, routine and emergency maintenance. You’ll work under the Facilities Manager, performing tasks both independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety, resident relations, and timely maintenance responses.

We value reliability, strong communication, and a customer-oriented approach as you help maintain four-acre properties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in community building maintenance, or related trade.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Be professionally mannered and reliable.
• Preferably live within 30 miles of the community for efficient response time.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager with the physical plant, including preventive, responsive, routine and emergency maintenance.
• Perform tasks individually or as part of a team.
• Complete listed maintenance tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Foster a positive and respectful attitude toward residents, vendors, and staff.
• Communicate effectively with residents, vendors and supervisors.
• Comply with personnel policies and safety procedures.
• Work with the Facilities Manager to enhance property value.
