Job summary

Barkan Management Company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the Property Manager at our Augusta, ME community. This full-time, non-exempt role focuses on preventive, responsive, routine and emergency maintenance across the property, reporting to the Facilities Manager.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of maintenance experience, strong communication and customer service skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of community maintenance experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently.
• Willingness to work on-call and on-site at a residential property.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager with the physical plant and ongoing maintenance.
• Perform preventive, responsive, routine and emergency maintenance tasks.
• Work as part of a team or individually on assigned tasks.
• Complete work orders and help maintain grounds and common areas.
• Communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and staff.
